textures

Texture is the way a surface, substance or piece of cloth feels when you touch it.

By not only showing the viewer how the image looks but by the way it feels.

The bonus of photographing bricks are that their every were. They also have the bonus of creating patterns and symmetrical shapes.

One plant texture you can photograph good will be tree. This is because the tree bark may be glossily smooth or dry, peeling and rough.

One touchable quality of paint would be old chipped peeling paint.

Stone lends itself to texture studies because of the range of shapes and sizes.

Some aspects of wood that are inspiring are the twisted roots, roughly chopped fire piles, shavings and splinters.

Three fabrics i will be able to photograph here in school would be fresh crisp cotton, itchy but warm wool and leather.

1 quality that rope has is a rough texture. In my school we can find rope in the gym room.

Metal is a good material to photograph because it has many different textures as in smooth, cool, rusty, dull etc.

composition and silhouettes

It put's it into context to give the image 'depth'

Perpective is when an image is taken from another element that can have an impact on an image. Emphasizing different points of intreats, angles, textures, and shapes.

You can use space in an image by moving in close and personal or moving out to capture a subject in it's context.

Balance in a photograph is the positioning of elements in a frame.

Bright colors can add energy but they can also distract viewers.

A silhouettes image stands out because they convey drama, mystery, emotion and mood.

The strategy of a silhouette is to place your subject in front of a source of light to force your camera to set it exposure based upon the brightest part of your image.

To get your light right put your subject in front of the sunset or sunrise.

For your light source their should be more light in the background then their is in the front.
